You pay a fixed price per day for the vehicle and driver, from $65 a day for a car, and a little less per day on trips of 8 days or more. The daily price covers fuel, tolls, parking and your driver's meals and room. Accommodation is not included, so you choose and book your own places to stay. The prices on this page are estimates: we confirm the exact total on WhatsApp before you commit.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. A car costs the same whether one, two or three of you travel in it, so the price per person falls as your group grows. The calculator on this page shows a rough estimate of both figures.
How do I confirm my booking and pay?
Tell us your dates and the places you would like to see, and we will send you a written quote. We confirm bookings by WhatsApp or email, and the payment terms are explained in your quote, so you know exactly what is due and when before you agree to anything.
Should I tip my driver?
Tips are not included in our prices and are always your choice. Many guests tip their driver at the end of the trip if they are happy with the service. Our guide to tipping your driver in Sri Lanka explains what is usual.
Do I pay for the driver's food and accommodation?
No. Your driver's meals and accommodation are included in the daily price, so you never pay extra for them during the trip.
What about long days or extra kilometres?
Our daily prices are set for the routes most guests travel, with sightseeing stops along the way. If your plan includes very long driving days or a lot of extra distance, we will say so in your quote before you book, so there are no surprises on the road.
Which currency are your prices in?
All prices on this page are in US dollars. If you would prefer to see your quote in another currency, just ask and we will explain the amount and how payment works.
