Comfortable hybrid cars for couples and small families
Quiet, economical hybrids with room for two large suitcases. They ride smoothly on the expressways and are easy to manoeuvre on narrow town and village roads, which makes them the natural choice for one to three travellers.
02 · 1–4 passengers
More space and a higher seat for hill-country roads
A higher seat, more legroom and space for an extra bag. SUVs are comfortable on the winding hill-country roads to Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Ella, and suit up to four travellers or anyone who wants a little more room on long driving days.

03 · 4–8 passengers
Toyota HiAce (KDH) vans for families and groups, in two sizes
Toyota HiAce vans, known locally as KDH, in two sizes: the Flat Roof for four or five people and the High Roof for up to eight, with more headroom and plenty of space for luggage. A good fit for families, friends travelling together and anyone with lots of bags.
